A surface without a ripple

Water moves in the shallow pools on the landing. Beyond the balustrade, the reservoir holds its reflection perfectly still.

A portable viewer rests in a brass stand. Two crosshair notches are engraved around its adjustment wheels.

Beneath the plate

Three bolts hold an old mounting plate. A lower catch has a quarter-turn slot worn bright by use.

CONTROLS

Take your time

Point at visible ground and click to walk to that spot. A crosshair marks ground; a hand marks a usable object within reach. A new click changes your destination. Drag to stop and look around. Walls, furniture, water and locked gates cannot be crossed.

Arrows / WASD
Cancel click travel and move manually. Forward/back walk; left/right turn. Tap for fine movement, hold to continue, release to stop. Focus the scene first.

Look up, down, left or right
Enter
Use the object at the centre of your view

Held lens / personal journal
Escape
Stop walking or close an inspection

Touch supports the same tap and drag controls. Opening a panel or switching away stops walking. Your journal and progress are saved on this device when browser storage is available.
